Vintage photo competition organized by the City Council of Tías

To take part in this competition, acceptance of the following conditions is required.

First.- Participants:

The contest is open to professional or amateur photographers, photography collectors or anyone who possesses photographs of Puerto del Carmen. Participants must be older than 18 years of age.

Second.- Theme:

The photographs presented in the contest aim to photographically reconstruct the history of Puerto del Carmen. The photos must date from before the year 1986.
The photographs could show:

Village of La Tiñosa, the old harbour and Plaza del Varadero.
Avenida de las Playas.
Changes in the landscape caused by the development of different areas of Puerto del Carmen ..
Photos of people involved in fishing activities in La Tiñosa
Panoramic photos of Puerto del Carmen.
Photos of the beginnings of scuba diving in Puerto del Carmen
Photos of traditional events or gatherings in Puerto del Carmen.

No works will be published or accepted with contents that are contrary to current legislation (*), which undermine the reputation, or infringe the personal and family privacy of the image of people.

Third.- Work:
Each contestant may submit as many photographs as they wish provided that each of them is their property or they have the rights of use and dissemination of them.

Photographs that are not the property of the participant or about which they do not have rights of use and diffusion will not be accepted.

The participant will manifest and guarantee to this City Council that he/she is the sole owner of all the rights to the photograph submitted to the Contest and is fully responsible for the absence of rights of third parties in the works presented, as well as for any claim by third parties for image rights.

Fourth.- How to participate:
The photographs must be digitalized and must meet the following requirements: The photographs must be JPG files.

They must have a minimum size of 1,024 x 1,024 pixels.
The size of the file must not exceed a maximum of 5 Mega-bytes (Mb).

Participants who do not meet any of the requirements indicated in this convocation will be disqualified immediately.

Fifth.- Identification and shippingF:
The digitized photographs should be sent to the email address: turismo@ayuntamientodetias.es

Data of the photograph:
Title, date and place where the photograph was taken and brief description or comment of the image.

Attached:
Express authorization for Tías City Council to publish the photo and put it on public exhibition. (Download).
An affidavit that participants must sign to be the author or the owner, or have all the rights of use and dissemination of the photograph presented according to the model that is attached to these bases. (download
from the web: www.puertodelcarmen.es).
Photograph with which you want to participate in the contest.
(If more than one photograph is sent, mention must be made of each document attached).

Sixth.- Exhibition of the images:

Once the photographs have been received, Tías City Council will assess each and every one of them before displaying them on their social networks.

The City Council of Tías will discard only those photos that do not comply with the rules of the contest, that do not meet a minimum quality or that could be in bad taste or offensive. This pre-selection process will be carried out in the minimum possible time and will mean that only the photos sent and approved will be published in the Contest section of the Puerto del Carmen website.

The City Council of Tias will communicate to the contestants whose photos enter the contest, this end.

The participant accepts that his / her picture is visible on the Facebook page, on the website of Puerto del Carmen and the City Hall of Tías and on public display.
In addition, the author transfers the rights of the photos to the City Council of Tías, although these will not be used for commercial purposes.

The Department of Tourism of the City of Tías will organize an exhibition with all the photographs presented and accepted in this contest.

Seventh.- Date of admission:

The date of receipt of originals will begin on November 6, 2017 until December 10, 2017, both inclusive.

Eighth.- Date of publication of the photographs for the vote of the public
